Hugh Campbell tells stories with his music. He writes about people and their lives: the poignancy of enduring married love, the sadness of a family packing up memories and leaving the home place, the loyalty of a man driving his father’s body home to Virginia for burial. With his special talent for capturing the defining details and his mellow picking and singing, Hugh connects with the emotions of his listeners.
