New book and CD on family music due out June 10
The Dust-to-Digital label has just announced their new book and CD media package Ola Belle Reed and Southern Mountain Music on the Mason-Dixon Line. Authored by Henry Glassie, Clifford R. Murphy, and Douglas Dowling Peach, it focuses on traditional mountain music and on the second generation of the musicians who migrated north during the Depression. On June 13 Hugh and David Reed will be promoting the book/CD and performing at Creative Alliance’s Maryland Traditions Folklife Festival in Baltimore.
